European Convention on Human Rights

Ambassador Satu Mattila-Budich signed on December 7, 2015 the Protocol No. 16 to the European Convention on Human Rights in Strasbourg with the Deputy Director General of the Council of Europe, Ms. Gabriella  Battaini Dragoni.

The Protocol No. 16 is related to the dialogue between the European Court of Human Rights and the Contracting States to the Convention, and it creates the possibility for the supreme courts of the Contracting States to request an advisory opinion from the European Court of Human Rights.
